Bittersweet
So as many know, today is the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attack during 2001. This post is dedicated completely and fully to all those who not only lost their lives, but also to those who work for the greater good and protection of the people of this nation. This posting is not only a dedication but also a way for me to say thank you. Thank you all who constantly put yourselves in harm's way for the welfare of others at the risk of your own life. I also thank your families. Without your support, where would these amazing people get the strength to do what they do day after day? I wish safety to all those who do not have to, but choose to put themselves in danger's way just so that we can live our day to day lives safely. Thank you all once more and God bless you.

Old shows and new tastes
Tea: Tension Tamer
Show: ThunderCats (the original)
So I have recently decided to start watching the original ThunderCats. I remember watching as a child, and when I heard about them remaking it, I was suddenly gripped with nostalgia and had an irrepressible urge to watch it. I must say, true, it is extremely cheesy, but I can't help but love it. I have been discussing it with a friend in my gaming club at the college. We have been enjoying our little discussions that pop up from time to time.
So school has taken off in a very nice direction. Everything is flowing smoothly and all my professors are great. Today however, I had to attend a mandatory luncheon for my Leadership Academy at another campus. Now, normally I would not mind this much, but seeing as how I have had the same migraine for the past three or four days, it was too long and very stressful for me because I was extremely nauseated for the better part of today. I wish it rain so as to relieve the pressure causing my migraine. Afterwards I came home slept for a few hours, woke and fixed myself some tea. Tea is such a wonderful thing. After drinking just one cup, I was already starting to feel better. I have another pot steeping as I type this up, to help demolish the lasting remnants of my migraine. I am very thankful to my friends who got me into tea. If they read this, they know exactly who I am talking about. Well, it is now 8:06 PM and I must away to bring in my cats from outside. Have a good day to all no matter what time you read this.

Movies and Tea
Tea: Tazo brand Passion
Movie: Goonies
So today is the start of a new week. And this week is the beginning of a new semester for me. Monday (tomorrow) is when my classes begin, starting with Government. Needless to say, I've been looking forward to this for quite some time now and as prepared as I can be. Unless my professors state otherwise, though I did email them about what was needed for class; ie: textbooks and other materials. Most were (4 out of 5) were kind enough to email me back with the necessary information, thus allowing me to look for and purchase said books. The only problem is the actual finding of used books that are necessary for the courses. Extremely hard to do unfortunately. Luckily I only needed to get books for three classes, and was able to find one of the books pretty much for free.
Aside from the up coming semester is that I am now part of Sigma Alpha Pi, an honor society at my school which has a lifetime membership. I just need to attend orientation among other things in order to be a full-fledged member. Which I am indeed looking forward too. Hopefully I can get that over with soon as possible. Now, bringing up the tea and movie bit; I should have mentioned that with every posting I will label the tea of that particular day along with whatever music or movie I am watching or listening too. Later, once I have finished educating myself more on the different types of teas and everything, I will have entire postings dedicated to nothing but tea. Hence why this blog was created (not just for my musings and all), and why I mention tea before first in each post. Feel free to leave comments. If there are any questions, I shall try to answer them as best to my abilities and as quickly as possible.

Peppermint and Ponderings
Tea: Peppermint and Organic Echinacea Plus mix
Song: Ocean Soul by Nightwish
Today is the first day of this blog. I had been thinking of starting one for sometime now, but as I was sipping on my peppermint tea, I figured that now would be as good a time as any. So here I am now, typing out this first post. I hope to update at least twice a week, but it honestly does depend on my classes, which start up this coming Monday the twenty-second of August. Though I look forward to said classes, I am slightly apprehensive about somethings in this semester. Like will I do well, will I get one of those jobs I have applied for, among other. These thoughts constantly hover around in the forefront of my mind. Luckily I am indeed well versed in the art of avoidance, but still. These are not the most pleasant of thoughts for one to dwell upon. Hopefully I shall be open to more opportunities quite near in the future. They say if one is optimistic and cheerful that the way shall not be barred. I have my doubts about this, but haven't been able to prove it at the moment. I shall keep a weary eye out just in case however.
